

Muscat: Oman’s gross domestic product at constant prices grew by 5.1 per cent in the second quarter of 2026 to approximately OMR 9.9 billion, compared with OMR 9.4 billion in the same quarter of 2025.
Preliminary data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information showed that oil activities grew by 14.7 per cent to approximately OMR 3.4 billion, up from OMR 3 billion a year earlier.
Non-oil activities increased by 0.7 per cent, reaching approximately OMR 7 billion, compared with OMR 6.8 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
Agriculture and fishing grew by 2.3 per cent to OMR 325 million, compared with OMR 317.8 million a year earlier.
Industrial activities declined by 1.5 per cent to approximately OMR 1.9 billion, down from OMR 2 billion in the same period last year.
Services grew by 1.5 per cent to approximately OMR 4.6 billion, compared with OMR 4.5 billion in the second quarter of 2025.
